Okta displays a good mix of vision and execution: they see opportunity to 100% leapfrog the current ID management offerings out there, especially those tied to Microsoft and LDAP. They see a day where data integrations, UI users, API users and widgets all use Okta as the authentication and authorization broker for cloud to cloud enterprise architectures.

They are also able to execute within a focused and (today) limited delivery of SAML2.0 integration between existing apps. They offer powerful central sysadmin tools to manage users, apps, access privileges, and roles.

We're impressed with Okta's ability to stay on course while also customizing services for early customers whose requirements may shift over time.
